Privacy Policy

You can browse much of Sector without an account. When you create an account or use certain features, we collect:

• Account information — your name and email address when you sign up with email, or through Sign in with Apple or Google. If you use Sign in with Apple’s “Hide My Email,” we receive only Apple’s relay address.
• Profile details — an optional profile photo and display name.
• Personal content (stored on your device by default) — your map markers (including their GPS coordinates and notes) and saved favorites are kept locally on your device. They are only uploaded to our servers if you are a Sector Premium subscriber and choose to turn on cloud sync.
• Published content — if you host a tournament or create a redzone, that content is saved to our servers so it can appear in the app and on the website for others.
• Purchase information — if you subscribe to Sector Premium, we receive your subscription status from Apple/Google. We never see or store your full payment card details — those are handled by the app stores.
• Device & technical data — a push-notification token (so we can send alerts you’ve opted into) and basic technical information such as app version and general device type.
• Usage & analytics — on our website we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited, which helps us improve the experience.

• Provide core features — your account, the live map, tournaments, stores, guides, and regulations.
• Sync your markers, favorites, and profile across your devices — only if you’re a Premium subscriber and enable cloud sync.
• Send notifications you’ve enabled (for example, redzone or tournament updates).
• Process and verify Sector Premium subscriptions.
• Maintain, secure, and improve the apps and website.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that make Sector work, and only as needed to operate the service:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, file storage, and hosting.
• Google Analytics — website usage analytics.
• Apple & Google — sign-in and subscription processing through their app stores.
• Mapbox — map tiles and geocoding used to display the map.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and our service.

Sector uses location to show the map and, with your permission, to center it on where you are. Map markers you save are stored on your device; their coordinates are only uploaded to our servers if you are a Premium subscriber who has turned on cloud sync. We do not continuously track your location in the background, and you can control location access at any time in your device settings.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time, which permanently removes your account and associated profile data:

• Open the app and go to the Profile tab.
• Select “Account,” then scroll down to the delete-account option.
• Re-enter your password to verify, and your account will be permanently deleted.

We use industry-standard providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to keep your data protected and limit access to it.

Sector is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Some tournaments include youth divisions; that participant information is provided by event organizers or a parent/guardian. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Sector is actively being developed. Features, functions, and content may change as we continue to improve the app, and this policy may be updated to reflect those changes.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
